Three people have appeared in court after a man was injured in a serious assault in Irvine.
Anne-Marie McNeil, 53, Neil Gray, 54, and 29-year-old Jordan Gray pleaded not guilty to charges of assault and threatening or abusive behaviour when they appeared in the dock on Thursday, November 23.
It's claimed that Ms McNeil and Neil Gray, both of Green Drive, made a derogatory remark, shouted and threatened violence at an address in the same street on October 27.
The Crown also accuses Ms McNeil of assaulting and severely injuring a man by punching him on the head in Green Drive while holding a set of car keys.
Jordan Gray, of Dickson Drive, and Neil Gray are alleged to have assaulted the same man by punching him on the head to his injury during the same incident.
Following their pleas of not guilty, all three were released on bail with special conditions requiring them to stay away from the locus of the incident and not to contact, or attempt to contact, the complainer in the case.
Sheriff Nicola Patrick added: "Don't phone, text or contact them on social media, is that clear?"
The trio will return to court to face the allegations at a later date.
