AN IRVINE man has been ordered to pay compensation to two workers at an Irvine bank branch after challenging one of them to a fight.
Steven Watt, 33, was also handed a hefty fine after he pleaded guilty to one charge in relation to the incident at the Santander branch in the Rivergate Shopping Centre earlier this year.
Watt, of Annickbank Avenue, was sentenced at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court after he admitted to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner towards two employees at the branch.
Court papers describe how he shouted and swore at two employees during the incident on March 14, and challenged one of them to a fight - placing both workers in a state of fear and alarm.
Watt was fined £715 and ordered to pay a total of £500 in compensation to the two employees.
