A West of Scotland travel retailer has received top awards at a national ceremony.
Stewart Travel received a gold medal in last week's British Travel Awards, winning the category of 'Best Online/Call Centre Travel Retailer' and received a silver medal in 'Best National Travel Retailer'.
The company's first store opened in Prestwick in 1972, and the firm has since opened nine more stores across Scotland - including Ayr, Troon, Irvine, Kilmarnock and Helensburgh.
The award-winning travel agency specialises in cruise holidays, far and away adventures, tailor made tours and sunshine getaways.
In a record-breaking year, the British Travel Awards remains the largest consumer voted awards in the UK, with over 1.6 million votes cast across the awards categories.
Brooklyn Travel, parent company of Stewart Travel, dominated the awards with a total of 18 medals - eight gold and five each in the silver and bronze categories, across eight of their travel operations including My Canada Trips, GolfKings and retailer Stewart Travel.
Grahame Gorie, Brooklyn Travel’s head of marketing, said "It was quite a night. We always thought we had a strong chance of some wins but to be so regularly on the stage receiving an award is a real measure of the dedication of all our staff.
"To be voted for by our customers is the best approval we can get.”
