This week, we are taking a very festive flashback to the best photos from Irvine and Kilwinning in December 2003.
Who can you spot in these Christmas shots from 20 years ago?
Father Christmas, Mrs Claus and their team of elfin helpers got Irvine’s 2003 festive celebrations under way in Santa’s Magic Boathouse at the town’s Maritime Museum.
Kilwinning Rotary presented a cheque for £500 to the Wheelchair Foundation in December 2003. Picking up the money from president Melvyn Hartley are Jim Eckford and Jim Bryson.

Schoolkids in Irvine had a fun-filled day learning about science in 2003 at a special conference. The all-day seminar, which was held at the Teachers’ Centre in Greenwood Academy, was attended by 140 primary six pupils from throughout North Ayrshire. Pictured are pupils from Dreghorn Primary.
Younger pupils at St John Ogilvie Primary in Irvine took to the stage for their very own nativity play, Rock Around the Flock, in December 2003.
Pensioners had a fantastic time at the 2003 Ward Two Christmas dinner held at the Redburn Centre.
