The year is nearly over - so we thought this would be a great time to look back at some of our best photos and news stories from 2023.

Irvine artist Graham McKean launched his free exhibition, Sex and Drugs and Sausage Rolls at the Harbour Arts Centre in January.
Irvine's Language Cafe opened this year, allowing 'New Scots' to boost their English skills. Provost Anthea Dickson was impressed when she popped along to meet the regulars.
Dreghorn's Adam Innes won Irvine Clean UpCrew's competition to name their donkey mascot in February. He decided the donkey - which the crew found dumped then lovingly restored - should be named Breeze.
Work began on the demolition of the Fullarton High Flats in Irvine in March 2023.
Dreghorn's Nicola Sturgeon resigned as Scotland's First Minister in March - and was later arrested amid a police investigation into SNP finances which is still continuing.
Workers at Irvine's Ardagh Glass proved a smash hit when they raised money for Christians Against Poverty during the Kiltwalk in April.
