Cup winning Sunday amateur football team, Lawthorn AFC announced they were folding after the club became 'unsustainable to run' in September.

Author Andrew O'Hagan returned to Irvine to help Greenwood Academy pupils perform parts of his acclaimed novel Mayflies at the the annual Tidelines Festival. The book looked at his time growing up in Irvine and Kilwinning.

Irvine Dachshund Club held a 'Halloweenie event' with some wonderful fancy dress costumes for the dogs.

Dreghorn's war memorial was transformed by locals John Logan and Robert Gourlay after repeated vandalism at the site. With NAC's Streetscene team, they cleaned up and planted bushes and plants. They are pictured with Councillor Jim Montgomerie.
