A busy Irvine road was temporarily closed by police after a man became unwell.
The A71 was briefly closed from the slip road around the Warrix roundabout shortly before noon on Sunday, January 7.
A sign was erected at the start of the road southbound between Irvine and Dreghorn.
Police Scotland said the closure was put in place after a man became unwell on the stretch of road.
After the emergency services were called, the road was closed for an hour before it reopened.
The man was taken by ambulance to Crosshouse Hospital.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 11.55am on Sunday, January 7, emergency services attended a report of a male pedestrian having taken unwell near to the slip road of the A71 at the Warrix roundabout.
"He was taken to Crosshouse Hospital by ambulance."
