A debt help and money guidance charity in Irvine is offering free money coaching to employees and apprentices working at local businesses.
Christians Against Poverty (CAP) has already successfully worked with modern apprentices at Stevenston-based building services company James Frew.
They recently participated in a money coaching course from CAP that showed them how to budget well and enjoy life free from money worries.
Roddy Frew, managing director of James Frew, said: "We make sure that our young people receive additional training and learning as part of a James Frew modern apprenticeship.
"To achieve this, we include sessions on money coaching from CAP as well as other learning on mental wellbeing, fitness and healthy eating.
"This extra education helps our young people to develop into the employees that we are looking for and gives them an opportunity to have a great future career."
Alan McLaren, of CAP's local team, added: "We believe financial education is vital for us all and it's brilliant if people can learn these important money skills at the start of their careers.
"On money coaching we teach people how to create a budget, manage their finances and reduce debt. The course is completed in three simple sessions and is completely free to attend.
"We are delighted to partner with James Frew in providing our money coaching to them and to hear about the positive impact it's had on their apprentices.
"We are urging any other local business who may be interested in us coming to host money coaching with their employees to contact me to find out more.
"It would be fantastic if we can help even more people to learn vital money skills, especially at a time when costs are high."
Any local business interested in inviting CAP to host free money coaching from the Irvine team can contact Alan McLaren for more information.
