Irvine electronics recycling specialists Optimum Eco Group has announced the appointment of a new managing director.
Jim McNulty will take over the post from company founder Bruce McLean, who is stepping down after more than 23 years and will remain with the company as a director.
The Optimum Eco Group, an active member of the Circular Economy, employs more than 110 staff in Irvine.
The group includes CCL (North), an industry-leading IT & WEEE recycling business focussing on secure data destruction, and Restructa, specialists in refurbishing and recycling TVs, computer monitors and display products.
Jim joined Restructa in 2006 and has over 30 years of experience working in the recycling sector.
Jim said: "I'm delighted to be taking on this new role and I look forward to growing CCL (North), Restructa and the whole Optimum Eco group.
"As well as continued expansion we’re looking to introduce new innovations and initiatives within the group, continuing our transition to net zero, and developing our business strategy to stay at the top of the industry."
Bruce added: "I'm pleased to be handing over the reins of the business to Jim, and I know that the business is in safe hands with him. I'm sure that the companies in the Optimum Eco group will continue to go from strength to strength in the future."
