Road closures are to be put in place on a major route between North Ayrshire and Glasgow later this month.
Amey is undertaking essential resurfacing on the A737 at Risk Brae from Tuesday, January 30 until Tuesday, February 6.
This is the second phase of works that commenced in December 2023, with the scheme set to benefit around 21,500 vehicles that use the route each day.
The work will be carried out using a combination of overnight closures and a full weekend closure, and a signed diversion will be in operation.
There will be three overnight closures of the A737 between 8pm and 6am each night from Tuesday, January 30 until Thursday, February 1, with traffic management being removed by 6am the following morning.
There will then be a full weekend closure of the A737 between 8pm on Friday, February 2 and 6am on Monday, February 5, and a final further overnight closure between 8pm on Monday, February 5 and 6am on Tuesday, February 6.
Southbound traffic will leave the A737 at Linwood (Linclive Interchange) and follow Linwood Road on to the A761 at Ferguslie, before turning right on to the A726 and following Barrhead Road and Hurlet Road.
Traffic will then turn left on to the A736 and follow the B762 to cross over the M77 Junction 2 to turn right on to Boydstone Road and turn right on to Kennishead Road.
Traffic will then follow on to the B773 Parkhouse Road, continue on to the A736 at Barrhead and follow to Lugton before turning right on to the B777 where it will be able to re-join the A737 at Beith.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout the works, and the scheme is weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if necessary.
