Below you'll find a mixture of contact details for local and national groups, charities and organisations who can help you or someone you know if you're feeling low and need someone to talk to.

The Kris Boyd Charity has been set up to help those suffering with mental health issues, so they can find someone to talk to and get help.

Three Sixty is a mental health charity formed in 1987 delivering support services to individuals aged 16 and over, who are affected by mental ill health. They work across South Ayrshire offering a range of activities developed in line with our members’ interests and aspirations in their own communities.

North Ayrshire Wellbeing & Recovery College is funded by North Ayrshire Health & Social Care Partnership (HSCP) and is delivered and staffed by the mental health charity RAMH (Recovery Across Mental Health).

Peers 4 Hope offers one-to-one peer support for North Ayrshire adults (aged 18-65) who are engaged with mental health services. The peer support is provided by Peer Workers with lived experience of mental health issues. The service also provides wellbeing workshops to community groups, free of charge.

Minds Over Matter runs weekly drop-in sessions in Ayr and Cumnock to help residents maintain their mental health. They also promote mental health awareness and challenge the stigma that surrounds mental health.

Shout is the UK’s first free 24/7 text service for anyone in crisis anytime, anywhere.  It’s a place to go if you’re struggling to cope and you need immediate help.

The MindinfoLine offers thousands of callers confidential help on a range of mental health issues.  Mind helps people take control of their mental health. We do this by providing high-quality information and advice, and campaigning to promote and protect good mental health for everyone. They also provide a special legal service to the public, lawyers and mental health workers.

The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) works to prevent male suicide and offers support services for any man who is struggling or in crisis.
