One person is in hospital following a two car crash on a busy road.
Emergency services were called to the A735 between Stewarton and Irvine around 8am this morning.
The road remains closed and the two cars involved in the collision have been taken away.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 8am on Thursday, 8 February, 2024, we received a report of a crash on the A735 involving two cars. One person was taken to hospital.
“The vehicles have been uplifted."
