A new toddlers group set up by Irvine's Crossing Together Church proved to be a big success this week.
The event was held in Relief Mission Centre by the new congregational church which covers the Irvine south area, including Bourtreehill.
A group spokesperson said on their Facebook page: "Today we saw the start of Crossing Together Toddlers and we had great fun playing together, singing together and making new friends.
"This week's snack was bananas, apples, toast and a biscuit.
"It was such a blessing to welcome so many families along and we can't wait to see you all along next week.
"Don't worry if you didn't make it today there is still time to come along and join the fun.
"A huge thank you to the volunteers who helped make this happen for the community and also thank you to Jean and Catherine for donating many of the toys and Asda Irvine for providing items and equipment for snack time."
The church will also be holding their monthly gathering this Sunday, February 25, from 4-6pm.
This month they will explore forgiveness through stories, crafts, community action and games suitable for all ages, young and not so young.
The event will be followed by a free community meal together - everyone is invited at Relief Mission Centre, Crofthead, Bourtreehill, KA11 1JX.
Come on your own or bring all the family - children need to attend with a grown up. See you there.
