A much loved Irvine florists will be celebrating it's 40th anniversary this week, with giveaways in the store - and on the streets outside.
Alyson's Flower launched in Bank Street just in time for Mother's Day in March 1984.
And starting tomorrow, Monday, March 25, the store will have some special floral surprises for customers and passers by.
The florist's Laura-Jayne said: "We have lots of plans ahead to celebrate our special milestone and we hope to brighten a few lucky customer's days."
But the shop itself has a longer history with the same family - dating all the way back to 1963.
The late Neil Alexander, former manager of Lipton's in Irvine High Street, always dreamed of owning his own business.
He opened a fishmongers and poultry shop in 10 Bank street back in February 1963. More than 20 years later, the shop became Alyson's Flowers.
Neil's daughter Jayne Lynch worked alongside him and eventually went into partnership with her father. She became the sole owner in 2003 when Neil "retired" - though Jayne insisted he always let her know his thoughts on the business.
Jayne is still the current owner of Alysons Flowers - though she is now winding down her role and letting daughter Laura-Jayne, Neil's granddaughter, follow in the family footsteps
Laura-Jayne started as a Saturday girl, then went into full time employment in 2000, and now is of great importance to Alyson's Flowers and her mum.
The business has had the same team for a number of years now.
They include Christina, who's been with them for almost 24 years and Keith (Jayne's "retired" husband) who still works hard behind the scenes.
There are also the firm's two drivers, their newest member Colette, and also Jean who has recently retired after 10 years of service but is always there for an extra helping hand.
All of them have been dedicated and loyal to Jayne in the time they have all been there. And the company would also like to thank all the other staff members whio joined them over the last 40 years.
Alyson's Flowers would also like to thank the public for their continued support and custom.
And they look forward to seeing old and new customers during their anniversary week which kicks off this Monday, March 25.
Who knows, if you are in the area, you might just find a bouquet of flowers heading your way.
Congratulations to Jayne- Laura-Jayne and the rest of the team for their amazing achievement.
