East Ayrshire Provost Jim Todd cut the ribbon to officially open the new Stewarton Community Hub on Saturday.
The facility is run by local charity Stewarton Initiatives, after being built on disused ground in the town centre last year by Dickson Joinery.
The building is used by community groups to host meetings, sell tickets and merchandise, and attract new members.
It is also used by local council and NHS staff. It was build using funding from the Renewable Energy Fund, Place Based Investment Fund and Leaders Fund.
The Provost, local councillors, MP Alan Brown and other invited guests were present for a special ceremony to cut the ribbon on Saturday.
Stewarton Initiatives member Alice Wallace was on hand to cut a celebratory cake, and a young piper provided some live entertainment on the day.
