PUPILS at an Irvine primary school held a special assembly to mark the retiral of deputy head teacher Louise Cardwell just before the Easter break.
And the pupils and staff at Castlepark Primary gave her an emotional send-off, with some special presentations - and lots of songs.
The primary school said on their X (formerly Twitter) site last Thursday: "Today marked the end of an era for Castlepark Primary as we said farewell to Depute Head, Mrs Louise Cardwell.
"This afternoon we gave her a great send off, full of songs and memories, at a special assembly.
"She will truly be missed and we wish her a long and happy retirement."
