FOND farewells were said as an Irvine primary school cook retired earlier this month.
Mary Law hung her apron up for the last time on April 18 as she retired from her role at Glebe Primary School.
Mary has proved to be a popular figure at the Kirk Vennel school where she has worked for the past eight years.
Her retirement also brings to an end a 31-year spell of working in catering for North Ayrshire Council.
She will be greatly missed at Glebe Primary where she always went to extra mile to ensure she put a smile of the faces of pupils.
Headteacher Elaine Sanderson said: “Mary will be much missed as she was a popular member of the staff team at Glebe Primary.
“The children will miss her fabulous baking and the effort she put into dressing up for fun, themed days."
Mary and her husband, who has also recently retired from the council as a janitor at Loudoun-Montgomery Primary, are now set to set sail off on a bucket list trip to mark their retirements.
The couple have booked to a cruise to Hawaii, something they always said they would do when they retired.
