Police Scotland Youth Volunteers in Ayrshire were given a special lesson about illegal vapes and the dangers of tobacco and nicotine during a recent session.
On Thursday evening, officers provided an educational input on the laws, health implications and risks of addiction from tobacco and nicotine vapour products.
The young people were shown examples of recent seizures of illegal vapes after joint work between Police Scotland Ayrshire and North Ayrshire Trading Standards.
Environmental impacts and the additional dangers of using nicotine products during adolescence was also covered.
Police Scotland Youth Volunteers strengthens relationships with young people by providing weekly sessions and giving them the opportunity to volunteer at community events across the country.
