An award-winning Stewarton book shop is hosting its third annual Mini Book Festival this month.
A host of events are taking place at The Book Nook in Stewarton, which is owned by Sarah Frame and was recently named Independent Bookshop of the Year for Scotland at The British Book Awards.
The shop will run events and activities from June 17 to 23 as part of Indie Bookshop Week, with some big names visiting.
Mystery & Medicine: A Night with Ambrose Parry, will take place on Monday, June 17.
Ambrose Parry is the pen name for two very different authors, the internationally bestselling and multi-award-winning Chris Brookmyre and consultant anaesthetist of 20 years’ experience, Dr Marisa Haetzman.
Shadows & Secrets: An Evening of Gothic Intrigue, with Suzy Apsley & C.J. Cooke, will be held on Wednesday, June 19.
Goals & Tales: An Evening of Scottish Football Lore will feature more big names on Friday, June 21, with panellists including Scottish football legend Jim McCalliog, poet and author Julie McNeill, football author David F. Ross, and special guest Rose Reilly.
The final event is Whimsy & Wonder: Poetry with Simon Lamb on Sunday, June 23.
Poet, author and performer Simon will entertain, ignite and inspire an audience of all ages with his beautiful book of poetry ‘A Passing On Of Shells’.
