A Glasgow man who headed to Irvine on a shoplifting spree has been admonished after a sheriff was told he was now “behaving himself”.
Pierce Henry, 29, admitted stealing items of clothing at Sports Direct in the town's Riverway Retail Park last December, when he appeared before Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week.
The Procurator Fiscal told the court: “At about 4.10pm on December 2, 2023, employees observed the accused placing items of clothing in a bag and he then left without paying. Police attended and he was arrested.”
Henry's lawyer Neil McPherson told the court: “I am no judge of character, but he appears to be clean and behaving himself well."
Henry, of Lincoln Avenue, Knightswood, was admonished and dismissed by Sheriff George Jamieson.
