POLICE are appealing for the public's help to trace a woman who has been missing from Irvine since Monday.

Cops say Anne MacDonald, 55, was last seen in the Kilwinning Road area of the town at around 11.30am on June 3.

She is described as white, around 5ft 5in tall, of medium build, with long black hair with purple ends.

She was last seen wearing a long-sleeved, blue denim dress with buttons down the centre.

Officers are becoming increasingly concerned for her.

Sergeant Catriona Eaglesham from Irvine police office, said: “This is out of character for Anne to be missing and we’re urgently trying to trace her.

“I’m appealing to anyone who has information on Anne’s whereabouts or who thinks they may have seen her since Monday morning to get in touch.

“Anne, if you see this appeal, please contact police so we can make sure you’re safe and well.”
