People from across the Ayrshire Central seat will have a unique opportunity to grill General Election candidates when Irvine Community Council stage a hustings event later this month.
The big event is being staged ahead of next month’s UK Election.
The Central Ayrshire seat candidates are battling for includes all of Irvine, as well as a portion of Kilwinning and the northern section of South Ayrshire.
All eyes will be on the stage in the Volunteer Rooms, Irvine on Wednesday, June 26, at 7pm when the politicians take centre stage.
The Community Council has invited all registered candidates along to the event to debate the crucial issues of the day.
Standing are: Kevin Thomas Blades, Reform UK; Elaine Ford, Liberal Democrats; Alan Gemmell, Scottish Labour Party; Tom Kerr, Scottish Green Party; Allan Macmillan, Social Democratic Party; Louise McDaid, Socialist Labour Party; Annie McIndoe, Scottish National Party and David Rocks, Conservative and Unionist Party.
In the run-up to the event the community council will post some profile information on each of the attending candidates and of course we will be running stories in the build-up to the big polling day.
They hope to welcome as many local residents along on the night to hear what candidates to be the area’s next MP have to say and why they think you should vote for them.
You can register for a ticket on the link below and also submit a question you’d like the candidates to answer on the night.
