A DETERMINED 10-year-old from Bourtreehill is taking part in a walking challenge to raise funds for the Beatson Cancer Charity.
Faith Fisher was moved to raise the cash after her dad Bryon was helped by the Beatson following his diagnosis with cancer in October 2023.
On a visit to her dad at the Beatson, Faith noticed a poster promoting the '8k Challenge' and decided she wanted to take part.
Now she's vowed to walk 8,000 steps every day until the end of the month.
Her mum Debbie said: "She is making us very proud,
"Faith has been walking all round Bourtreehill, Dreghorn and other parts of Irvine. She is really enjoying it. She's loving the walks."
So far, Faith has raised an amazing £430 since the challenge began on June 1.
Her dad Bryon is battling tongue, neck and lymph node cancer, but thanks to the Beatson, he received vital treatment back in March.
He's now recovering well but is waiting a few months for his next diagnosis to confirm it has worked.

And good luck to Faith and her family!
