THE congregation at Irvine's Old Parish Church are getting ready to celebrate 250 years of their church building.
And they are now inviting members of the public to a special event planned to mark the milestone.
As part of the congregation's celebrations they will be hosting a free to attend exhibition in the church hall later this month.
This will take place from Friday, June 21 until Sunday, June 23 between 1-5pm each day.
The exhibition contains some fascinating objects and photographs which will no doubt bring back many fond memories.
A spokesperson said: "Were you baptised in Irvine Old? Or married there? Were you a member of the Boys Brigade, or the Guides, or the Sunday School? You might spot yourself in one of the photographs on display."
A tour of the historic church building also to be available.
And on Sunday, June 23, the congregation will be joined at a special service of thanksgiving by North Ayrshire's Provost, Anthea Dickson, as well as the town's former MP, Dr Philippa Whitford, representatives of the Presbytery of the South West, and members of the Incorporated Trades, the Carters and the town’s Burns Clubs for a service of thanksgiving.
The Sunday service starts at 11am.
