The iconic RAF Red Arrows are set to land in Ayrshire this afternoon.

The display team are set to land at Prestwick Airport at around 3.39pm on Friday, June 21, on their way from RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire.

To accommodate today's arrival, Prestwick Airport is set to open a parking area near 'the mound' off Shawfarm Road.

However, keen spotters will get another chance to spot the birds tomorrow when they depart Prestwick Airport at 11.45am for Newtonabbey AFD Display and landing back at 12.45pm.

They will stay at Prestwick until 2.55pm on Saturday, und for RAF Lossiemouth.

Prestwick Airport's parking area will once again open on Saturday for both departures.

The Red Arrows have preformed more 4,900 displays across the globe since they were formed back in 1964.
