A PRIMARY school in Irvine has achieved a gold award from SportScotland after a huge surge in sports activity at the school.
Jane Leavey from Sport Scotland and Leanne Hillan-Fowler from Active Schools presented the Elderbank Primary team with their gold SportScotland flag this week.
It's a huge achievement for the school, who revealed that an amazing 82 per cent of pupils are now taking part in sport and physical activity outwith the core curricular physical education slots.
Pupils have been enjoying opportunities to take part in sports activities through After School Clubs, Lunch Clubs and Breakfast Club.
Congratulations the pupils and staff for their excellent efforts in achieving the award.
