Pupils involved in Lawthorn Primary School's bid to create an eco-friendly garden got a boost from Irvine Incorporated Trades just before the end of the school term.
Derick McRitchie, Deacon and David Whitelaw, Deacon of the Skinners Craft visited the school to meet with the teachers and pupils involved in the eco project, where they are converting a vacant piece of ground.
The pupils were enthusiastic in showing the representatives from the Trades and Mrs Gillian Leitch, chair of the School Council, the work they had carried out during the year.
The Incorporation donated £200 towards the worthwhile work being carried out by this group and look forward to seeing the progress in the next school session.
Well done to the staff and pupils involved in the environmentally friendly project.
