A Stewarton butcher has unveiled a piece of history during a store renovation project.
Wm. Allan and Son are currently undertaking works to revamp the exterior of the shop in High Street.
Some of the former signage for the business has been unveiled following the removal of the most recent frontage.
The business has confirmed that the shop will stay open, and that works will take place when the butchers is closed as much as possible.
A spokesperson said: "A few of you have noticed that our sign above the shop was removed.
"Fear not, we are still here, we are just having a bit of a glow up.
"We have instructed a company to revamp the exterior of the shop. The whole process is going to take a few weeks.
"We thought we would give you a wee update as we don’t want the Stewarton rumour mill thinking we are closing.
"The shop will remain open during the renovations and we are going to do as much as possible on the days we are closed."
