Police Scotland Youth Volunteers in South Ayrshire, East Ayrshire and Cumnock are looking for new members.
Youth volunteers aged 13 to 15 can apply to join a team of young people who aim to learn about Police Scotland whilst volunteering in their communities.
The aims of the Police Scotland Youth Volunteers are:
- Promote a practical understanding of policing amongst all young people.
- Encourage the spirit of adventure and good citizenship.
- Support local policing priorities through volunteering and giving young people a chance to be heard.
- Inspire young people to participate positively in their communities.
Members must be aged 13-17, able to volunteer for a minimum of three hours a month, and must represent the diversity of their service area.
PSYV South Ayrshire holds weekly sessions on a Tuesday evening from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at Ayrshire College in Ayr.
PSYV East Ayrshire holds weekly sessions on a Thursday evening from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at Ayrshire College in Kilmarnock.
PSYV Cumnock holds weekly sessions on a Thursday evening from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at Dumfries House in Cumnock.
