Acclaimed folk duo Hungrytown are heading to East Ayrshire for gigs in Cumnock and Stewarton.
Rebecca Hall and Ken Anderson will bring their exceptional live performance to Cumnock Town Hall on September 13 and Stewarton Area Centre on September 14.
Their musical journey began in New York City, where Rebecca performed as a jazz singer and Ken played drums for various psychedelic pop bands.
Inspired by the authenticity and raw emotion of traditional ballads, Rebecca began writing lyrics, with Ken contributing his exceptional skills in musical arrangement.
This collaboration resulted in two solo albums by Hall, Rebecca Hall Sings! (1999) and Sunday Afternoon (2002), both produced by Anderson.
The duo released their first CD, Hungrytown, in 2007, Any Forgotten Thing in 2011 and Further West in 2015.
Hungrytown's upcoming performance in East Ayrshire is part of a special community programming initiative aimed at bringing high-quality entertainment directly to audiences in East Ayrshire.
