The Scottish Maritime Museum will host a Makers and Producers Market between 10am and 4pm on Saturday, August 17 and Sunday, August 18.

The free to enter market is being held during Irvine's Marymass Festival in association with Ayrshire Food Group.

Over the weekend, visitors will discover a host of exciting artisans and food and drink producers across the Linthouse and Museum Courtyard.

Goodies will range from woodcrafts, glassware, Harris Tweed home accessories, candles and scents, ceramics, paper crafting and art to handcrafted jewellery, handbags, children’s clothing, skincare, personalised gifts and home sewn and crochet goods.

On the Saturday, everyone can also take in the Marymass Fourth Port Parade along the Harbourside before or after popping into the museum.

On the Sunday, visitors will relish lively chef demonstrations led by Ayrshire Food Group alongside the food market in the Museum Courtyard.

Christopher Woodland, Commercial Manager at the Scottish Maritime Museum, said: “We’re delighted to partner with Ayrshire Food Group once again and host another of our popular seasonal markets.

“As ever, we wanted to create an exciting experience for our visitors as well as a busy marketplace for all the great independent artisans, makers and food and drink producers across Irvine and Ayrshire.

“Entry is free and everyone will enjoy shopping from a wide selection of arts, crafts and handcrafted goods and foods as well as picking up some top tips at our delicious chef demonstration.”
