Irvine engineering company AmcoGiffen have helped to clear up a "huge amount" of litter from the River Irvine.
The company, which has been working on a project at the Queen's railway viaduct, was approached by Irvine Clean Up Crew and staff carried out the big clear up earlier this week.
Old bicycles and shopping trolley were among the items found dumped in the river.
A spokesperson for the Clean Up Crew said on Facebook: "We want to say a massive thank you to @amcogiffen for removing a huge amount of litter from the River Irvine these last two days.
"They are working on the Queen's railway viaduct and, with assistance from Irvine Community Council, we were able to ask if they would help clean up the river while they were there.
"They agreed without hesitation and what a difference they have made.
"We are so grateful that they have helped us on our mission to clean up the River Irvine. It is a huge job, that won't be possible without the support of others.
"The area they cleared is really hard to access without a boat.
"A massive well done and thank you to the AmcoGiffen team for their efforts this week and a thank you to the community council for helping make sure this request for help was passed on."
