Kilwinning's annual flower show has been cancelled for this year.
The town's Horticultural Society have announced that the cancellation of the event set to be held on August 29 was caused "due to many reasons outwith our control".
They are now hoping to set up a new committee for next year's flower show.
Run by Kilwinning Horticultural Society, the show was first established in the town back in 1856.
The show is traditionally held on the last Thursday in August.
James Burns, President of Kilwinning Horticultural Society, said: "It is with a heavy heart that the committee have decided to cancel this year's Kilwinning Horticultural Society Annual Flower Show due to many reasons outwith our control.
"We apologise to all our members who have been preparing and growing items to exhibit this year, so we are hopeful of setting up a new committee for next year's show.
"Dalry Flower Show has been also cancelled, but Irvine Marymass Flower is still on for August 26 at the Volunteer Rooms. Individuals can still enter their exhibits at Irvine if they wish.
