Concerns have been raised after a boat was dumped at the side of the road in Shewalton in Irvine.
In what appears to be the strangest bit of flytipping in the area, the wrecked-looking dinghy, stripped of its motor, was left near the GSK site near the Oldhall roundabout.
A North Ayrshire Council spokesperson said: “We are aware of a boat at Shewalton.
“At this present time, it is not causing any obstruction or danger to the public and we will continue to monitor the area.
“We are also aware of some fly-tipping that has appeared next to the boat and this is due to be uplifted on Wednesday.
“We would encourage residents who are aware of fly-tipping or littering in their neighbourhood to report this online here."
