A man was arrested after two woman had to be taken to hospital after a 'disturbance' in Irvine.
The women, aged 35 and 36, were taken to hospital after an incident in Beaton Terrace in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
A 36-year-old man was arrested, with police confirming he is now due to face 'various offences' in court after being charged in connection.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “At around 5.40am on Tuesday, August 13, we received a report of a disturbance in the Beaton Terrace area of Irvine.
“Officers attended and two women, aged 35 and 36, were taken to hospital for treatment.
“A 36-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with various offences and due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 14 August, 2024.”
