A UK-wide search has been launched to find the next Harry Potter for an upcoming HBO series.
The reboot of the popular books and films will follow each of the seven books written by Scottish author JK Rowling, with one season following each novel.
An open casting call has now been issued to find children for the lead roles of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger.
As part of the cult film series, the roles were played by Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson.
The films generated more than £6bn over the course of their run on the global box office.
Series creators are looking for children aged nine to 11 in April 2025 and who are residents of the UK and Ireland.
It asks the actors to submit two short videos. For more information go to app.castittalent.com/HPcasting.
