A CUDDLY toy tiger rescued by Irvine Clean-Up crew from the river is now helping spread awareness of the town's litter problem.
And now the environmental group have launched a competition to find him a new name.
Tiger was rescued from below the Rivergate back in July by volunteer James.
The cuddly toy was found wearing a nappy so the crew believe it might be a well-loved toy that has gone on a bit of a watery adventure.
Tiger was treated to a lovely bath but despite their best efforts the Clean-Up Crew have yet to identify the owner.
A spokesperson said this week: "Tiger is still with us and quite enjoying all the attention they've been getting.
"So, Tiger has decided to stay and help us with spreading awareness about repairing what you can instead of throwing it away.
"Tiger needs a proper name, and we'd like your help. Put your suggestions below in the comments and we'll pick our favourite.
"There is a £20 voucher up for grabs for the best suggestion. You could even like/react on the name suggestions you like to help us decide.
"We'll leave this open till next Sunday (September 15) and choose a winner after that. Good luck!"
