A young man was arrested after police seized heroin, cocaine and cash from a street in Irvine.

The 20-year-old man was charged after officers recovered the drugs and money from an address in Beaton Terrace, after cops were called to an incident at around 1pm on Wednesday.

Officers confirmed a report was sent to the procurator fiscal for the accused to appear in court.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.45pm on Wednesday, September 18, we were called to attend a property in the Beaton Terrace area of Irvine.

“A quantity of drugs was recovered and a 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.

“He was expected to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court. A report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."

On Wednesday 18 September 2024, officers acting upon reported information entered a property in Irvine.
