THE newly expanded Specsavers store in Irvine has proudly revealed that it will be one of the main sponsors of the town’s iconic Tidelines Book Festival for the sixth year.
The festival, which runs at the Harbour Arts Centre, as well as other venues in Irvine, will take place from September 26-29.
And Specsavers, based in the Rivergate Shopping Centre, is once again supporting readers visiting the festival with eye care support and a number of reading goodies.
The store is providing a collection of bookmarks for all attendees to the festival and staff will also be inviting keen readers visiting the festival to come and see them to ensure their passion for reading isn’t hampered by eye sight concerns.
The festival will feature a host of events for all ages, including author readings, children’s events and other activities all to celebrate a love of reading within the town.
Gordon Simpson, store director at Specsavers in Irvine, said: "Tidelines Book Festival is always such a landmark event in the Irvine calendar and we’re very proud to once again be sponsoring such a fantastic event.
"We’re also happy to support the readers of Irvine with their passion by ensuring that their eyesight is cared for and healthy. This way they can continue to fuel their love for discovering new stories and re-reading all-time favourites.
"We would like to thank the team at Tidelines and its volunteers for all their hard work in pulling together such a brilliant event and we’re very excited to see readers, young and old, celebrate the fantastic art of story-telling."
