AYRSHIRE College’s Willie Mackie skills hub recently welcomed five engineers from James Frew Ltd for a comprehensive training program focused on renewable technologies.

The pioneering initiative, the first of its kind in Ayrshire, was designed to equip engineers with the skills needed to thrive in the fast-changing green energy sector.

Delivered by expert lecturers from Ayrshire College, the week-long training provided the engineers with qualifications in Water Byelaws, Unvented Systems, and Air Source Heat Pumps.

As a result of the collaboration, the James Frew engineers achieved three BPEC qualifications, further strengthening their ability to implement innovative, eco-friendly solutions.

Roddy Frew, managing director of James Frew Ltd, said: “This continued investment in training reflects our ongoing commitment to professional development and the future of renewable energy.
