THREE men have appeared in court after police raided an alleged cannabis farm in Irvine valued at more than £1 million.
Eduard Daja, 38, Elton Skenderi, 29 and Gjovalin Toma, 30, were remanded after their arrest when the trio appeared from custody last week.
We previously reported that police raided the former Brighthouse store in Bridgegate on Wednesday afternoon, September 25.
Officers revealed that the class B drugs farm has an estimated street value of between £1.2m and £1.8m.
All three faced charges of producing a controlled drug, being concerned in the supplying of the same substance and breaches of the electricity act when they appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Friday, September 27.
Daja faces a further charge of breaching the Immigration Act, having allegedly entered the UK in violation of a deportation order.
The trio, all of no fixed address but believed to hail from Albania, entered no plea to the allegations during the brief private petition hearing.
They were committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
All are due to return to court for a further full committal hearing later in the week.
