A WELL-known North Ayrshire face is set to appear on our TV screens next week - in one of the UK's most-loved programmes.
Last year, Stevenston woman Claire Wolff was filmed as a contestant on ITV's The Chase with the episode set to air on Tuesday, October 22 at 5pm.
A classroom assistant who works across the county, Claire will be a familiar face to many throughout the community.
As well as her work across local schools, she also leads KA Leisure's 'chair yoga' and meditation classes.
Claire also works as a singing teacher at the Music Room in Irvine where she specialises in growing confidence in people.
As well as teaching, she is also the lead singer of Ayrshire band Blackjack Cadillac who have played many gigs across the county - and even have a few songs on Spotify.
She will also be known to many as 'The Wee Witchy' - a business Claire operates offering card readings, Goddess circles and psychic insight for women's empowerment.
Claire's appearance on The Chase has been a year in the making, with the episode being filmed around this time last year.
Back in October 2023, along with her husband and Blackjack Cadillac drummer Gee, Claire headed to London for the show to be filmed.
After a 5am breakfast, she was picked up and taken to the ITV studios for filming to take place.
Claire added: "At the studios I got to meet the other people on my team for the episode, we had coffee and were kept in the greenroom until it was time to head to make-up then the studio.
"We were sat in our places at the big desk behind our names, cameras everywhere, the crew were lovely!
"Bradley Walsh joined us and chatted to us for a while, told us he prefers to be called Brad as Bradley was too posh."
Claire, who is a big fan of the show and its host, said the whole experience was a bit "surreal".
She continued: "I have had a bit of a crush on Bradley Walsh since I was very young!
"He always was so funny that even as a kid there was something about his cheeky chappy ways that I just always loved!
"He is very much like how he appears to be, very polite, very funny and a total gentleman. I did find it very surreal to have him right there in front of me so I was very nervous."
Until the show airs, Claire cannot disclose how she and the team performed on the day.
She commented: "I am not allowed to tell you if we won or not until after the episode has been aired unfortunately as that's part of the agreement of being a participant, so folk have to wait and see how I did!
"I will say however, you'll have a good laugh!"
After airing, the show will also be available online via STV Player.
