STUDENTS from four North Ayrshire schools have taken part in Police Scotland work experience.
Greenwood Academy, Irvine Royal Academy, Kilwinning Academy and Garnock Community Campus all had pupils get involved in daily police activities.
They attended multiple specialist departments including roads policing, CID, custody, control room, mounted branch, mountain rescue, and even the air support helicopter.
There was even an opportunity for the students to try on public order kit, general patrol equipment, receive an input on the recruitment process and even sit in on a trial at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court.
Chief Inspector Normansell welcomed the young people to a question-and-answer session on the final day, before presenting attendees with a certificate of participation.
