THIS week we take a look back 10 years to the Irvine and Kilwinning headlines from November 2014.

(Image: Newsquest) Janice Pitman and Jack Neill from Windhoist Limited turned up at Woodlands Primary in Irvine in 2014 to surprise the pupils with a gift. The local company handed over a fun-packed book called ‘Sparkys Big Idea’ letting them find out all about wind turbines.

(Image: Newsquest) Irvine’s Si! Restaurant was named Family Outlet of the Year at the SLTN Awards at Glasgow’s Hilton Hotel in November 2014. Owners Malcolm and Karen Simpson of SimpsInns were on hand to receive their award from funnyman Kevin Bridges at the glitzy bash.
