VOLUNTEERS from a North Ayrshire charity came together last month to mark the organisation's 25th anniversary.
Those who have donated their time to North Ayrshire Cats Protection got to celebrate in style with an afternoon tea to honour the occasion.
As well as the current team, those who previously worked with the charity also turned out to celebrate the event.
Some of the volunteers in attendance had been part of the charity since day one.
During their time in operation, the Cats Protection team have helped rehome more than 6,000 cats and kittens.
A spokesperson said: "We recently celebrated 25 years of North Ayrshire Cats Protection with an afternoon tea for our volunteer team.
"Some of our previous volunteers got together with our current team, old and new. It's amazing to think that some have been part of this since the start.
"In that time we have rehomed over 6,000 cats and kittens, and helped many, many more in other ways, including feral and farm cats, and with neutering support.
"On behalf of the cats that can't say thank you themselves, we appreciate every hour that our volunteers give up to make their world a better place."
