DETAILS of this year’s Remembrance Sunday proceedings in Irvine on Sunday, November 12, have now been confirmed.
And North Ayrshire Council have revealed that there will be another short service on Monday, November 13 to mark Armistice Day itself.
Details for Sunday's service, where all are welcome to attend, are as follows:
- 10.40am - parade assembles in High Street
- 10.52am - parade departs for War Memorial, led by Irvine Pipe Band
- 10.55am – parade arrives at War Memorial for service, led by David Whitelaw
- 11.20am – parade is called to order ahead of Remembrance Service at Irvine Old Parish Church
- 11.30am to 12.30pm - Service in Irvine Old Parish Church. All are welcome.
On Armistice Day – Monday, November 11 – at 11am there will be a service and two minutes’ silence at Watson Memorial Garden, off Burns Street, Irvine. Again, all are welcome to attend.
