UPDATE: Police Scotland have now confirmed that David Teevan has been traced safe and well.
POLICE say they are growing concerned for the welfare of a missing Irvine teenager who may have travelled to Liverpool.
Officers in Ayrshire appealing for the public’s assistance to help trace 16-year-old David Teevan, who was reported missing from the town earlier this week.
He was seen at around 5.30am on Monday, November 11 in Glasgow Central Station and it is believed he boarded a train heading for Preston and then on to Liverpool.
He is described as around 5ft 10in in height and of slim build, with short dark hair and glasses. When last seen, he was wearing a black jacket and black jogging bottoms. He also has access to a lime green mountain bike.
Sergeant Ross Cree, of Irvine police office, said: "We are growing concerned for David’s welfare and extensive enquiries are ongoing to trace him.
"I would appeal to anyone who has seen him, or who has any information on his whereabouts, to contact us as soon as possible.
"I am also appealing directly to David - if you see this appeal, please let us know you are safe and well."
