THE Cunninghame Housing Association (CHA) Scrutiny Group have been named the best in Scotland.

Made up of volunteer tenants and residents from across North and East Ayrshire, they are responsible for independently looking at how well CHA are delivering housing services.

Now they have won the Excellence in Scrutiny award at the TIS National Excellence Awards 2024, which were held on November 7.

The award reflects the commitment of each Cunninghame Scrutiny Group (CSG) member, who volunteer their time and insights to help improve the quality and responsiveness of services.

Competing against other finalists - Aberdeenshire Council in partnership with Sheltered Housing Tenants’ Forum, Riverside Scotland in partnership with Riverside Scotland Service Improvement Group, and South Lanarkshire Council in partnership with Repairs Sub-group - makes this recognition even more meaningful.

Christine Marshall, a dedicated CSG member, said: "I can’t believe we have won. I am so delighted for all our group members that their hard work and commitment to working with Cunninghame Housing has been recognized.”

A CHA spokesperson said: "This award is a reflection of the group’s hard work and dedication to service excellence and meeting the needs and aspirations of our tenants and customers.

"We are incredibly proud of this achievement and immensely grateful for the collective efforts of our volunteers, whose passion and commitment have made this possible.

"Congratulations to all involved."
