A MAN is in hospital with "serious injuries" following a crash involving a cyclist and HGV in Irvine.
Police Scotland are now appealing anyone with information to come forward following the incident on Thursday, November 14.
The collision took place on the B7080, Long Drive, road at around 3.30pm at a location close to the Oldhall roundabout.
The road was closed for around eight hours to allow for investigations to be carried out.
Emergency services attended and a 61-year-old male cyclist was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to what were described as serious injuries.
There were no other reported injuries as a result of the incident.
Sergeant Gordon Stewart said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash and who has not already spoken to officers to get in touch.
“I would also appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have dash cam footage which could assist to contact us.”
