ROAD users are being asked to plan ahead as roadworks are being carried out at the Warrix Interchange in Irvine this Sunday.

The surface improvement works are being carried out from 7am until 4pm on November 24.

The roundabout at the Warrix Interchange will be closed to traffic and drivers are asked to observe the signed diversions which will be in place and to also allow appropriate time for journeys while works are carried out.

North Ayrshire Council is carrying out improvements to the road surface and the authority said that while they appreciate this will cause some temporary inconvenience to motorists, it will bring long-term benefits through road improvements.
